| 2 characteristic 性格特征 | 用"转折"给性格 | despite that, she's approachable |
| 3 事件 | 用一件具体的事把人物撑起来 | it was last summer that I came across… |
P2 = person + X:X 是"考官能记住的那个点"。Nancy 的 X = 教英语的方法。
|---|---|---|
| 身份 | a social media blogger / an English video blogger | followed on social media / interesting video |
| 性格 | likes to help people(with English) | helps others / good at languages |
| 成就 | is really successful in her field | successful business / works in a company |
| 影响 | persuaded you to do sth(学英语) | persuaded you / changed your mind |
|---|---|
| 马尾 | she wears her hair in a ponytail |
| 鹅蛋脸 | an oval face |
| 高鼻梁 | a high nasal bridge |
| 鹰钩鼻 | a Roman nose |
| 可爱 / 机灵鬼 | cute / a smart cookie |
开头引入:let me introduce… / let me explain…
…despite that, she's approachable.
She's the most approachable blogger that I've ever followed on social media.(最高级 + that 定语从句)
|---|---|
| 时间 | It was last summer that I came across Nancy.(正是去年夏天我遇到了 Nancy——强调句) |
I was lying on my sofa, scrolling through TikTok. |
I wasn't expecting anything, you know — videos were refreshed one after another. |
Then I saw this girl called Nancy streaming on TikTok. |
What she said was that everyone can learn English really well. That was impressive. And that's why I followed her / subscribed to her channel. |
come across = meet someone by chance(偶遇)。对比板书里的 come around(顺路过来)、rock and roll——同一个 R 的连读环境。
⑥ 发音:R-blend(g / c 遇到 R)
- move your lips forward —— 嘴唇先往前;
- create a "wu u u" sound before the R —— 发 R 之前先有"呜"的准备;
- roll your tongue(pull the tip of your tongue backward)as much as possible —— 舌尖尽可能往后卷。
练:g precedes R —— group / arrange / grow;c + R —— scroll(scroll through TikTok)。
I'd like to talk about Nancy, an English video blogger that I followed on social media. The first thing you'd notice is that she's a smart cookie — she wears her hair in a ponytail, has an oval face with a high nasal bridge, and looks cute.
But despite that, she's really approachable — she's the most approachable blogger that I've ever followed on social media.
It was last summer that I came across her. I was lying on my sofa, scrolling through TikTok aimlessly; I wasn't expecting anything, you know, videos were refreshed one after another. Then I saw this girl called Nancy streaming on TikTok, and what she said was that everyone can learn English really well. That was impressive. She shared an awesome way to pronounce the R blend — and that's why I followed her and subscribed to her channel.
